It’s called “Land of Enchantment” for a reason
A calming . . . Zen feeling comes over you
Big blue sky that seems to go on forever . . .
The sun which is almost always present . . .
Surrounded by majestic mountains . . .
Soon enough . . . will be my new home . . .
What? You're moving? It does have unique landscapes, but I'm afraid I would miss the green of fields and trees.
ReplyDeleteI would miss the green fields, but maybe the mountains would make up for the trees.
ReplyDeleteOh, it so *hurts* to hear those words. So final. So complete. So one chapter is ending -- but so happy that a new chapter is beginning in your life. But not yet. That's what I'm holding on to.
ReplyDeleteHow many times have you been asked, "You're going where?" That's what we heard when we moved to AR. I've only driven thru NM (in the fog), so I'll look forward to hearing more about your Land of Enchantment.
ReplyDeleteAhhh New Mexico. What a place to move to. I had a love affair with Taos for 10 years. I dreamt of living there. ENJOY! Keep us posted :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful turn in your pathway.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is the Land of Enchantment- a beautiful state! I lived in a small mountain town near Alamogordo one summer during my college years, and enjoyed visiting Santa Fe, Carlsbad Caverns, Shiprock, White Sands, and the Mescalero Apache Reservation near Ruidoso. A close friend lives in Albuquerque. I really loved the city when I visited her during the Balloon Fiesta. I spent a lovely day at the school where she worked in APS- I was impressed that they still had a cafeteria with cooks who prepared lunch daily, even homemade bread (in my district we have a central food service that sends us foods packaged in individual servings that are reheated- yuck). I toured the University campus, went shopping in Old Town, went up Sandia Peak, and enjoyed the unique weather and scenery. You will find so much to love in New Mexico!
ReplyDeleteHappy trails.
ReplyDeleteI forgot all about New Mexico! The countdown starts, and NM sounds enchanting! I've never been there, so I'll be excited to visit!
