The lifestyle . . . much slower and definitely less stressful
The weather . . . one word awesome! Four seasons to enjoy but no extremes like Chicago
The sun . . . that it shines most every day
The beauty that I see everyday . . . mountains, breathtaking sunsets, awesome hiking trails and open land that goes on for miles
New friends that we have made in our neighborhood
Seeing the hot air balloons floating on most days
Watching the geckos running freely and sunning often
| So hard to choose . . .so many beauties |
| I never tire of seeing them |

Ah, isn't retirement wonderful. Such beauty you enjoy every day. Can't believe it's been a year already.
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting retirement, Lynn, & am so glad that the year has been good for you. I do love New Mexico-a beautiful place. Love seeing your pictures!
ReplyDeleteLove the little visits to New Mexico here at your blog. It really has me thinking about an actual visit to a friend in Albuquerque. It's been so long since the last visit. Congratulations on finishing a year of change with such positive feelings!
ReplyDeleteThis was my third year of retirement from teaching. It's great to be able to enjoy what is around you! I can't imagine living in NM, though. No winter?
