Last week my principal and assistant principal, “filled our buckets” . . . a good reminder that it’s the simple things that can have the biggest impact on people!
“Bucket Filler” . . . do you know what this is?
If not don’t worry it’s not a pop quiz!
A bucket filler is just another way to say
Hey, let me help to make your day.
Kind words, thoughtful gestures, simply a smile
Can really make one’s day and last a long while.
So remember . . . fill some buckets . . . it’s never too much
And know that each person you reach out to . . . will feel your touch!
As if my bucket wasn’t filled enough, my niece shared something she wrote about my sister and I on Bobby Brown’s (the cosmetic guru) blog. In fact, many of Bobby’s employees “filled” their mom’s bucket in honor of Mother’s Day. Check it out!
I'm glad you captured the ways your bucket has been filled this week. Very cool tribute on the Bobby Brown blog. Thanks for sharing.

I always start the school year with reading the Bucket Filler books and discussing ways we fill buckets for others. It is so visual and effective. We still refer to that.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had your bucket filled at school!
I read that book to my students at the beginning of this year, they each have their own buckets. I love hearing the phrase, "Hey--- you filled my bucket!"
ReplyDeleteLynn,
ReplyDeleteThat is so great the principal and the assistant filled the buckets...Have you read the book, How full is your bucket? I love it...It's a great concept to think about focusing on positive thoughts and ideas!
Thanks for sharing this concept of bucket filling - we can never get enough - pats on the back, warm fuzzy's, smiles, hugs or comments! I know my bucket is full and overflowing, but somehow there is always room for more.
ReplyDeleteLove your little bucket filler poem creation! We always need a reminder.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to send me the link as when I open it, it goes to Bobby Brown's site, but it's blank! I want to read what she wrote . . .
Ahhh... love this! I have an envelope on my board that I fill with the nice notes I receive from parents and students.
