The days have been humid, hot and dry
And it’s only beginning the month of July
It’s hard to be outside . . . to feel comfortable and cool
Unless of course you are sitting or soaking in a pool!
Even the flowers and trees by the end of the day
Are begging for water . . . seem to be fading away
But 6 months from now we will be wishing for this heat
When we’re knee deep in snow, freezing cold and sleet!
I’ll choose this weather . . . this season . . . hands down
Cause I have time with family and friends to just hang around!
True, I love summer for the free time, but wow, it's been sizzling! Today is much better, and you're right, we'll miss this warmth when winter digs its heels in.
ReplyDeleteOh, isn't it the truth! If we aren't complaining about one thing, we are complaining about the other! (Heat, snow, cold, humidity, etc.) I'm glad the heat has subsided for now -- the last two days have been glorious! I'm sitting outside on the screen porch loving the breeze. The bonus is definitely the extra time with family and friends! Continue to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHubby and I were just talking about this. Seems like we are never truly happy with the weather, but what can we do? Take each day as it comes and make the best of it.
