Can We Say STRESS . . .

It’s that time of year again . . . S.T.R.E.S.S. levels are running high
I see it in the faces, I hear it in the sighs
Feeling the crunch of that damn ISAT test
Preparing the students in hopes that they just do their best!
We’ve been told since the bar has now been raised
If we make AYP we will indeed be amazed!
It’s like going into a war with no chance to win
And no matter what’s been said . . . teachers feel a a sense of chagrin . . .

  1. I hate what these tests do to teachers and students. How is a one day glimpse going to show what students really know?

  2. Oh Lynn... how about the whole stinkin' state and our craziness. Have you heard any rumors about not going with that other testing company because we don't have enough money for it (infrastructure). It does feel like a war zone and you sweet kiddos are starting to become the casualties.

  3. These test make me wonder what exactly the powers that be are actually looking for. Do they actually care about the kids or the scores. Good luck with the testing and know that spring break will soon be here.

  5. Grrrr....it is very frustrating. Every corner we turn, there is yet another test. A test to tell us how they will do on the test. What?!? Can we please just teach and inspire and read and learn together?
