Inspire . . . A friend shared her blog with me which inspired me to dig deep inside and bring my thoughts onto paper...maybe I will pay it forward and inspire someone too! Thanks, Michelle!

Big Fat Greek Wedding
SOL Day 29
This past weekend I went to see "The Big Fat Greek Wedding #2" along with some members of my Greek family! Although the movie portrays how us crazy Greeks can behave, I'm sure other groups can identify with the movie just as we did. There were 5 of us and we all really enjoyed the movie. Was it an academy award winning film, probably not, but we laughed, got a little teary eyed and walked out of the theatre with smiles on our faces. We talked about how sometimes, movies can be exactly that, just plain fun without violence and suspense! I can guarantee if you saw and enjoyed the first, "Big Fat Greek Wedding" you will enjoy this one as well. After all, what's not to like about family support, family love and the few goofs that make up families!

That's what families are all about. The first one was great. We'll have to check out this one too. It is so pleasant to go to a movie and not see violence, swearing and lots of awful stuff. Smiles with tears mixed in - Yea!
ReplyDeleteAllison has big plans to see this movie - she still quotes the first one "bundt cake!"
ReplyDeleteYou're right - a movie can simply be a fun escape.
Love being able to go to a movie just because it's fun. I love that it shows the love between the family members. I commented to my husband that I was glad they didn't think they needed to create a divorce between the original bride and groom. Long live happy families!
ReplyDeleteI loved the first movie, so it's good to know the sequel is worth seeing. Sounds like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun that you got to see it with your family, too. I hope I can see it soon. The first was great. My family is mostly in another state, and my son in still another one. We have such wonderful times when together.
ReplyDeleteI saw this movie and agree that it was very fun! I laughed throughout the whole movie.
ReplyDeleteI loved the first movie and cannot wait to see the second one. Speaking of which, the grandparents are coming soon. Maybe they'll watch their granddaughter so my husband and I can see it in the theater.
ReplyDeleteSmiles and laughter with family at the movies? I say, "Opa!"
