SOL Day 7
Woke early this morning to crack . . . boom . . . bang!!!
Was it an earthquake?!? Thunder?!?
As my eyes adjusted to the early dawn, and my brain adjusted to reality, I realized it was in deed thunder! It just seemed so loud . . . so close!
A few minutes later the rain drops were pelting against the windows, it sounded like hail but I knew better as I was fully awake now.
As soon as it was light outside I looked out the window and realized the noise was partly due to over turned lawn chairs as well as a few plants! Mother Nature was at it once again!

A rude awakening in deed! Mother Nature & overturned furniture are so thoughtless to come in the middle of the night!
ReplyDeleteIf you are still in California, that is a sound to celebrate. But you'd think Mother Nature could begin at a decent hour.
ReplyDeleteWow - surprising in the middle of the night. At least you got a slice out of it!
ReplyDeleteWe had a little rain today, such a joy. In and out fast. Lots of rain in CA, right? Hope they send a little more our way.
ReplyDeleteI could hear the storm through your writing! I've always loved rainstorms (from my bed) as long as they're not too severe.
ReplyDeleteWow, not the wake up call you probably wanted. At first I thought you were getting the weather in WA. They have been losing power due to downed trees from wind storms. Glad it was just thunder. Hopefully you wake up to birds chirping tomorrow.
