The Rent Collector

SOL Day 13

Yesterday was one of those days.  It didn't start out that way until I thought I would read for a just a little while.  I had just started The Rent Collector by Camron Wright the day before, and since  the weather wasn't all that nice, I thought why not spend a small amount of time reading.  Well, I could not put the book down!  I kept saying, one more page, one more paragraph, one more chapter. . . and before I knew it I was saying, only 100 pages left, only 50 pages left, heck I'm almost done!  If you have not read this book, I highly recommend it!  A beautiful story which parallels life with the meaning of Literature.  Such a powerful story, and the characters, left me in awe!  One word . . . AMAZING!

  1. It's wonderful when we find a book that we can't put down! I'll have to check this one out from the library next time I'm there. Thanks for the recommendation!

  3. It's seldom that we really find the time to sit, read and finish a book before the summer. That's my case. Hopefully, I will be able to read a few pages from the book, The 7 Habits, before the March Break ends. Such an accomplishment!

  6. Thanks for your recommendation - it's on my list. I love it when you get a book that you just can't put down, especially on a dreary day.

  7. Those books are such a treat, but the biggest bonus is you had the time to read. Sounds like a great read.

  10. Love your thoughts on reading the book too -- I know that feeling of reading just one more page .... I rarely get that kind of reading time as it can be fiercely interrupted by you know who, but I'll take the recommendation! Thanks!
