New York Vitners . . . Wine Tasting and Class

Last night we had an awesome time taking a wine class at New York Vitners!  A wine store that also hosts a variety of wine classes.  Light snacks, along with a lot of information about wine . . . I never knew there were so many different grapes that produced the various wines!  And of course tastings of delicious wine.  Heavy snow during the day couldn't keep us away and so glad it didn't.  Only half the class showed up due to the weather, so the atmosphere  was much cozier and best of all more wine to taste :-). I've always wanted to learn more about wine so this was a great start!

Our set up to start.

My niece, sister and me enjoying the night!

  1. Your slice reminds me of the importance for taking time for my own learning. There is SO much to learn, like grapes and wine! Thanks for the inspiration! I usually wait until Summertime to focus on my learning....but why wait!

BTW, your hair is so long!! I had to look twice in the picture for you! :) Beautiful as always!

  3. My sister lives in Sonoma, California, wine country, which is how I learned how much I don't know. Great opportunity to learn and be with family. We all need to take time to learn something that brings us joy, just for fun! Cheers!

  4. Sounds like a great time! I enjoy wine... but can't seem to become a wine expert.... a wine class may just do the trick! :-)

  5. This is one pleasant lesson. I would love an evening like that. Good wine, good company, no grades.

  6. A fun time with sis & niece and some learning included. When traveling, we always try to stop at local wineries and learn about the different varieties of grapes and of course, do a bit of tasting (& buying). Have you tried paring wine with dark chocolate? The BEST!

  12. I love wine tastings, especially when I get to travel and attend them while on vacation. Your comment about the many kind of grapes makes me think of the many personalities in my classes. Also, I reminisced a little about a sunset wine tasting sail my husband and I took in Key West during winter break.
