What a Difference a Day Makes

Yesterday . . .
I woke up to this cute little face waiting for me to feed her.

Today . . .
I wake up, to my work out clothes and gym shoes

Yesterday . . .
I heard the traffic and street noise

Today . . .
I hear the quiet

Yesterday . . .
I saw dozens of people briskly walking

Today . . .
I saw colorful balloons soaring.

Yesterday . . .
I was able to give my niece a giant hug and kiss

Today . . .
I text her xoxoxo xoxoxoxo miss you

Yesterday . . .
I was bundled up with hat and gloves

Today . . .
The temps are near 70 with a bright blue sky

  1. Is that cute little face waiting breakfast the kitty in the picture? What a beautiful face. This is a nice format that I might have to try. I can relate to the wearing gloves and being all bundled...and today being lots warmer...but not close to 70. It is 45 right now and we are thrilled.

  6. I love this format and I love it when other slicers give us inspiration. I think I might have to borrow this one some time soon. I wish I had some of that 70 degree weather!

  8. I really like the patterning that you used: yesterday, today... what a difference a day truly does make, right?!

  9. Enjoy your 70 degrees! We had a taste of spring today and it was just what we all needed. Glad you had a wonderful trip and are now back home with your blue skies.

  10. I love the format for your poem and the back and forth between the two worlds. We all need to get away now and then but it's always good to come home!
