Power of Words . . .
We all have heard it . . . we’ve taught it to our kids . . .
Heck there is even a rhyme about them . . . remember?
Sticks and stones can break my bones
But words can also hurt me . . .
And on the other side of the spectrum
Words can make us immensely happy, jubilant even!
Hallmark Cards . . . need I say more?
I was given this very interesting book, Heal Your Body A - Z by Louise L. Hay
The book speaks to having faith, not in the religious sense, but . . .
faith in life . . . in the universe.
The power of words . . .
“Whatever we send out mentally or verbally will come back to us in like form.”
“For every effect in our lives, there is a thought pattern that precedes and maintains it”
If you’re willing think about the power of words in relation to your health . . .
check out this book . . .
if you’re open to it.
Lynn, how very true your "words" are. How many times do we say things without thinking before speaking and then wanting to take them back. I especially liked the phrase: “Whatever we send out mentally or verbally will come back to us in like form.”
ReplyDeleteKind words, mean words, defensive words, etc. all are returned in "like form".
Thanks for sharing and reminding me of the power of the words I say and write. I'll check out the book.
Lynn,
ReplyDeleteIt's so true that negative words will come back to haunt you! I've tried to be verrryyy careful, but I do have a big mouth!
What I've learned is that being positive and not judging will get you far!
Chris
Words are so powerful, that's what makes this month long challenge a challenge. Will I have the right words to post on my blog or what will my words do when I comment? I hope both make a positive impact.
