I walked into the room where they held the classes
Saw people of all shapes and sizes ready to work off their !/??/!
The music was blasting . . . the fans were ah blowing
I could see the instructor was ready to get this class going!
The warm-up went smooth and it was getting quite clear
This class would be awesome and I had nothing to fear
The songs for the dance steps were familiar and entertaining
But let there be no mistake . . . it was a great workout training!
Fifty five minutes later . . WOW! it can’t really be done?!?
But clearly, I can’t remember a workout ever being so fun!
A Zumba convert, yes I think I can say
I’ll be the first one in class waiting . . . next Sunday!
It's a fun way to exercise, but sometimes my arms, legs and hips move in opposite directions. I guess the key is "Just keep moving"! Enjoy!

Great description! However, while you think it can't be done already after 55 minutes, I find myself looking at the clock 30 minutes in some days and thinking, "Seriously??? Only half way?!?!" :)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying this Saturday morning...I hope there isn't a fight for the back row...I think I can follow someone- I know I'll be laughing hysterically. Fun post...and you must be in terrifc shape!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great description of Zumba. I feel in love with the exercise last year when a few teachers were exercising with Zumba. I enjoyed reading your post.
ReplyDeleteAny program that can get you excited about exercise has to be a winner. I've never tried it, but I am intrigued. Putting this into a poem is so cool.
